Braeburn Primary and Nursery Enhanced Mainstream School for

Social Emotional and Positive Mental Health

Our School is an enhanced centre for good practice when working with children of primary age and younger children who may show challenging behaviour or who may need help to develop their social, emotional and positive mental health skills.
Not only do we work in our own school, we also support a community of 6 other schools: St George’s School, Overdale Community School, Hunmanby Primary School, Cayton Primary School, Filey Infant and Nursery School and Filey Junior School.

The E.M.S.Team have been specifically appointed to provide outreach support for pupils in their own home/school and in some special cases in-reach support.

We are here to:

Enhance provision in our own school .

Lead on behaviour and personal development.

  • Provide information and advice over the phone to help with general queries.
  • Provide specialist teaching of individual pupils, groups and classes.
  • Model strategies and interventions to teachers and teaching assistants.
  • Provide family support through personalised programmes.
  • Work together with all other professionals, children and their families to find solutions to help overcome barriers to learning and ensure pupils make good progress and can achieve their very best.
